Role Overview

Auxilion is looking for new member of the team who is passionate about all things data. We require an experienced Data Architect to join our Business Solutions Team. Responsibility as the Data Architect will be to develop, optimize and oversee conceptual and logical data systems. We are looking for someone capable of enriching the digital transformation journey for our customers and support customers to harness the power of data.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with digital transformation initiatives, have strong customer engagement skills and a deep understanding of how to leverage technologies, with a focus on the Microsoft Azure Data platform — including cloud, analytics, data storage, data transformation, artificial intelligence, machine learning and the Internet of Things. We are looking for someone with experience in data analysis and management, with data visualization and data migration experience, with excellent problem-solving abilities and knowledge.

Your Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and key stakeholders and achieve long term objectives for data architecture to support digital transformation.
  • Design logical and physical data models, provide data mapping from source to target.
  • Design solutions to achieve customer objectives and prepare data roadmap for customer management teams.
  • Identify and collect all required data, validate process and recommend improvements to corporate data.
  • Analyse information flow and recommend appropriate technology to develop new or improve existing business processes.
  • Advise on monitoring and evaluation frameworks to manage data across customer organisations.
  • Advise on appropriate tools and systems to achieve all data technology objectives.
  • Understand capabilities and tools in the market place that could provide strategic data management and insight solutions in a cost-effective manner.
  • Bring new concepts and ideas to the organization.

  • Provide data review and analyse on customer data sources to ensure appropriate quality.
  • Coordinate with project teams and business heads on projects regarding enterprise data.
  • Assisting customers to develop KPI’s and metrics for testing data, quality and integrity.
  • Prepare documents for data architecture and maintain knowledge on large data structure as well.
  • Design annual technology business plans.
  • Collaborate with new and existing external vendors and provide support to all objectives and assist to create various data architecture within a wide range of public and private sector organisations.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Extensive experience in database architecture design, proficient in the architectural principles with performance optimization experience.
  • Experience in the design of large-scale commercial databases, leading the architectural design and achieving commercial success in the market.
  • Understands security and trends and technology evolution.
  • Working knowledge of data visualisation tools
  • Experience with the Azure Data Platform, SQL Server, Power BI, Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledgeable with ETL technologies SSIS, Python, and/or Data Integrator.
  • Experience with one or more BI tools such as SAP Business Objects, Tableau, PowerPivot, QlikView, SAS, PowerBI
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Architecture concepts, logical and physical database modelling, methods, and strategies.
  • Business Intelligence strategies/design as this role relates to Data Architecture, including analytics and big data solutions are a plus.
  • Expertise in database and query performance tuning advanced methodologies and techniques.
  • Understanding of activities within primary discipline such as Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance (DG).
  • Experience with a variety of data formats to access, import, extract, transform, and transfer or load data.
  • Experience in SQL or other comparable programming language, preferably in a large, complex environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise in database building, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.

  • Technology consulting experience
  • Strong knowledge of data sources and data characteristics, including database design and report development, required.
