Auxilion are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modern Workplace Technical Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative workplace technology solutions, delivering IT modernisation projects for clients using Microsoft and other digital workplace technologies.

 

We are looking to recruit a high performing person with a proven track record in technology consulting and an in-depth knowledge and experience of the workings and configuration of the Microsoft365 Stack including SharePoint, Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics etc.

 

The candidate will be informed on the latest developments in technology to ensure we design the best enterprise solutions for our clients. You will form strong relationships with clients and third parties, assist in presales activities, from inception through to delivery handover, manage solution development including the preparation of evaluation ready commercial proposals.

 

What will you be doing:

 

  • Responsible for client satisfaction on all Modern Workplace application development engagements acting as a trusted advisor and building strong relationships.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies, driving and evangelising our capabilities to internal teams, customers, and partners.
  • Act as a senior architect within the Modern Workplace team and the wider Solutions group.
  • Qualify opportunities, understand business and technical requirements, and design appropriate solutions using a breadth of Modern Workplace technologies.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including solution designs, effort estimation, RFP responses, business cases, High-Level Designs (HLDs), Statements of Work (SoWs) etc.
  • Support project handovers to delivery teams and act as an escalation point during project life and transition into service.
  • Explain the features, benefits, and technical specifications of Modern Workplace technologies to both internal and external audiences.
  • Assessing the current state of customers’ environments, developing strategies and roadmaps for improvement.
  • Ensure platform integration is properly conducted and maintained to expectations and needs.
  • Providing complex technical advice, recommendations, and consultancy on M365 technologies and bespoke solutions.
  • Leading discovery & brainstorming sessions to develop innovative solutions to solve business challenges.
  • Take part in peer reviews, utilising expertise to advise on the viability of proposed solutions or suggest alternatives.
  • Becoming a “trusted expert advisor” to our customers maintaining detailed industry knowledge.
  • Organise the implementation and continuous improvement of information systems, data handling, processes/procedures, organisation, and equipment.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments and apply them to our market offerings.

 

What skills and experience will you have:

  • 7+ years technical consultancy / professional services experience covering a variety of clients, a formal solution design and development methodology, and experience of leading the technical design and implementation of a few significant projects.
  • 3+ years’ experience as M365/O365 solution architect role with experience in the following:
  • M365 and SharePoint – Design, Configuration and Migration
  • C#, PowerShell, HTML5 / CSS3
  • Microsoft Teams App Development
  • JavaScript
  • Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power Virtual Agents,)
  • Power BI reports from cloud/on-premises data
  • Dataverse
  • Canvas and model-driven apps in PowerApps
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • ASP.NET MVC Core 3.1, 5.0
  • SQL Server
  • Microsoft BOT Framework v4.0
  • Microsoft Graph API
  • Background in application development.
  • Holding a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security / Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solution Architect qualification desired.
  • Microsoft certifications across M365 / Azure or Power Platform are preferred
  • Excellent client relationship management skills in a consulting environment
  • Experience in the alignment of business and IT, operating across organisational and technology silos to drive common approaches, delivering sustainable, agile and re-usable solutions
  • Technical lead during project implementation and working with customers advising them on the adoption strategies around Office 365.
  • Azure / AWS experience is desirable
  • TOGAF experience desired
  • Ability to outline the technological direction for a company, including road mapping future tech initiatives, assessing the impact of new technologies, and ensuring that IT strategy aligns with business objectives
  • Deep expertise in systems design and engineering, including architecting scalable, reliable, and efficient systems that meet the demands of large-scale operations.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills in a consulting environment
  • Strong business acumen to understand and align technology solutions with business strategies
  • Ensure client solutions adhere to necessary industry standards, regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and produce strategic insights.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
