Head of Sales

Role Overview

As Head of Sales, you will play a key role in developing and executing Auxilion's sales and Go-To-Market strategy. This will include managing major accounts, as well as driving the development and acquisition of new clients. Additionally, you will oversee an experienced IT services and solutions sales team and collaborate closely with the Auxilion Management team to provide strategic direction for the organization.


Scope of Position:

  • Manage a team (9) of experienced IT services and solutions sales professionals.
  • Help develop and execute the sales and Go-To-Market strategy for Auxilion in Ireland covering major accounts though to development and acquisition of new logos.
  • Work closely with all business owners to ensure coverage for their offerings into the customer base.
  • Work with Chief Marketing Officer to develop and execute plans around Account Based Marketing, Events, Customer advocacy, etc.
  • Engage with the wider Auxilion management team to provide input into the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Set, Measure and Deliver on Gross Margin targets.
  • Assess, qualify and support opportunities to the business for bidding
  • Report on all metrics and KPIs to Group Sales Director.
  • Work with Chief Technology Officer in developing new go-to-market solutions and assessing market for new offerings.
  • Be the voice of the customer to the business and a point of management escalation for customer issues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Sales team
  • Achieve Gross Margin targets set
  • Ensure coverage for business units in terms of annual revenue targets
  • Ensure Customer Relationship Management systems are kept up to date
  • Ensure optimal pricing strategies to win bids
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date Account Plans exist for nominated accounts
  • Be an Executive Sponsor for nominated accounts
  • Complete loss reviews for key deals and develop strategies for addressing gaps



  • At least five years’ experience in sales management servicing large customers
  • At least ten years’ experience in sales, in IT or a related field
  • Have experience in identifying, qualifying and winning large and complex IT services contracts
  • Experience working in a consultative sales role
  • Very strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
  • Experience in managing multiple, complex customer engagements
  • Strong Financial Acumen 2
  • Demonstrated experience building trusted relationships and an ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a complex organisational environment
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and responsibility
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
