Auxilion is on a significant growth trajectory as part of its 3-year (2022-2024) strategic development programme which has included a 20% revenue growth in 2022, a committed multi-million-pound investment in our UK expansion strategy (including acquisition target) and the reimagining of our consultancy and managed IT services businesses. As we continue to grow our business and scale our consulting practice, we’re looking for a proven ‘Consulting Director’ to join our leadership team and set the strategic agenda for our consulting business.

As Consulting Director at Auxilion you will lead a team of highly skilled and experienced consultants who provide valuable insights and recommendations to our clients in the areas of digital strategy, governance, operations, and technology. You will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our Consulting Practice, leading and managing a team of consultants, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with our clients. Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the growth ambitions of the company delivering innovative solutions and critical project services to our clients.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will be in a senior leadership role within a consulting organisation with more 10 years consulting experience and a minimum of 7 years in a management role. He or she will also have a proven track record in business development and proposal writing. In addition, the ideal candidate will have excellent commercial, communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and analytically.

What you get to do in this role:

As head of the Auxilion Consulting Division you will be responsible for

  • Determining and managing the strategic direction of the division
  • Controlling, managing and reporting on P&L account for the Consulting division
  • Growing the division in line with budget plansChampioning our Consulting practices, solutions, and capability both internally and externally
  • Leading a team of Consulting Practice Leads
  • Presales and Business Development
  • Driving opportunity pipeline and consulting sales targets with Consulting Practice Leads
  • Working with our sales & marketing teams to develop new opportunities and build customer relationships within existing and new customer accounts.
  • Working with Marketing to promote consulting brand and develop campaign strategies
  • Using customer insights and industry trends to develop new solutions and services.
  • Providing mentoring and coaching for consultants.
  • Collaborating with your peers in Sales and Delivery organisations to deliver great customer experience.
  • Account Management / Exec Sponsorship for number of client accounts
  • Consulting Offers – drive practice leads to update, maintain and add to consulting portfolio as appropriate
  • Consulting team development and new talent acquisition
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Working closely with other divisions to future proof the business – stay ahead of curve leading with consultancy

 

To be successful in this role, we need someone who:

  • Is curious about future trends and how they can address existing and future business challenges.
  • Will effectively build and leverage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Is commercially strong and has business development experience.
  • Can identify and translate business challenges into solutions and deliverables.
  • Communicates effectively – has good presentation skills (written and oral).
  • Can lead and grow a collaborative team.
  • Has excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Great attention to detail.
  • Has the ability to work on multiple initiatives in parallel and prioritise appropriately.

Experience

  • 10+ years in a Senior Leadership role in a consulting organisation 
  • Experience leading and managing large, complex consulting engagements
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy
  • Strong analytical skills and experience developing quantitative models
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • MBA or other advanced degree
