Windows 10

Auxilion combine our expert technical team and our extensive project management capability, to ensure your Windows 10 implementation project goes to plan, without disruption to your business.

Unlike previous transitions, Windows 10 will not require complex application upgrades. This new cross device platform will be continuously updated ‘as-a-service’, ensuring organisations can look forward to increased security, productivity and standardisation across the estate while reducing costs and improving adoption with Windows 10. With high penetration within the consumer market, many users are familiar with Windows 10. We expect minimal requirements for staff training, as many will be using Windows 10 in a personal capacity.

The Challenge

The increasing trend of remote working, advanced security threats and demands on budgets are putting a strain on today’s CIOs and IT managers. Many organisations have yet to migrate from their current version of Windows and are feeling the pressure to devise a suitable strategy that includes Windows 10.

Launched at the end of July 2015, Windows 10 only overtook Windows 7 for the first time globally in January 2018. We help our customers migrate to Windows 10 without business disruption. We provide backend remediation, application testing and ongoing maintenance for hundreds of customers who have successfully made the move to Windows 10.

Our Approach

As a Project Management Institute (PMI), certified solutions provider, our approach minimises engineer time and intervention at the desktop through careful project planning, design, testing and process automation. This not only removes business disruption but also actively reduces deployment time.

Auxilion Windows 10 deployments have five main components. An organisation may opt to select any single component which can be implemented in a standalone capacity. Alternatively, a customer may opt to work with Auxilion on all five components parts in succession.

  • Assess: No single customer is the same as another. With this in mind, Auxilion conduct a thorough ‘Windows 10 Readiness Assessment’. This is a detailed audit of your current IT environment. Based on this data, we produce a comprehensive report that establish required outcomes, budgets, identify opportunities and highlight dependencies.
  • Remediation: After the results of the ‘Windows 10 Readiness Assessment’ have outlined the infrastructure needs, we set about completing the backend remediation component. We will work with you to ensure your SCCM install is configured correctly and that the Windows 10 image is available for easy deployment
  • Application Readiness: In this component, we review the existing applications and work with your team to rationalise what should be moved and what can go end of life. We look at compatibility, versions and licenses. Once this component is complete, we move to the ‘Deploy’ stage.
  • Deploy: Our projects are managed by an experienced PMI qualified project specialist ensuring a professionally managed deployment. Based on a clear roadmap and governance, our team of experienced professionals deploy the solution. If your internal team have already completed an internal review, you may decide to start working with Auxilion on the deployment component as a standalone process. We also use this component to review security policies and processes, offering enhanced options to reinforce the current security practice.
  • Maintain: Device stability and application compatibility are key to the ongoing success of your Windows 10 deployment. Organisations that have already migrated to Windows 10 and need an experienced partner for ongoing support can rely on our dedicated team will look after your ICT real estate. This will help your team focus on the value-added services they deliver. As updates are released, our managed services team will review, build and deploy. Our remote managed services team can deliver the required levels of support for your staff, ensuring user adoption and future proofing of your solution.

What Gartner Say:

“Windows migrations are multistep operations consisting of evaluation and testing phases, plus the actual move. For Windows 10, it can take about 21 months or more for an organisation to complete all the steps, which is faster than past Windows migration estimates.”
